Layet Johnson (b. 1985 Little Rock, Arkansas) received his MFA from University of Georgia in 2011. He is currently an artist in residence at University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and has held fellowships at Vermont Studio Center and Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Recent solo exhibitions include Is This My Tongue? at Institute 193 (Lexington), Trip at Good Weather (North Little Rock), Caffé Lasso at Ritual Coffee Roasters (San Francisco), and Sacred Jest at The Invisible Hand (Lawrence, Kansas). Johnson's work has been included in group exhibitions at Arturo Bandini (Los Angeles), Ortega y Gasset Projects (Brooklyn), White Box (New York), and Soil Gallery (Seattle), among others. He currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
