Bio: Layet Johnson (b. 1985 Little Rock, Arkansas) received his MFA from University of Georgia in 2011. He currently lives and works in Little Rock, Arkansas where he is an educator, illustrator, and sign painter. His illustrations can be found locally at Loblolly Ice Cream, Shift Modern Cyclery, and The Hall. He has taught full time at Central Connecticut State University where he was co-director of the university gallery, along with adjunct positions at University of Georgia, UA Little Rock, University of Central Arkansas, and Hendrix College. He has held fellowships at Vermont Studio Center and Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Recent solo exhibitions include Mystery Bird at Pina (Vienna), Is This My Tongue? at Institute 193 (Lexington), Trip at Good Weather (North Little Rock), Caffé Lasso at Ritual Coffee Roasters (San Francisco), and Sacred Jest at The Invisible Hand (Lawrence, Kansas). Johnson’s work has been included in group exhibitions at Utopian Visions Art Fair (Portland),  Arturo Bandini (Los Angeles), Ortega y Gasset Projects (Brooklyn), White Box (New York), and Soil Gallery (Seattle), among others. He currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
